BIZCOLI

財団法人の運営する経済図書館が福岡市の中心地、渡辺通りへの移転を機にビジネスパーソンをターゲットとした会員制図書館「BIZCOLI -BIZCOMMUNICATION LIBRARY-」として新たに生まれ変わった。資料閲覧や自己啓発、情報交換など多様な目的を持つ来館者と、交流させる空間と集中させる空間の二つ空間を、本のゲート「知の回廊」を介して空間的に曖昧に分断することで利用者同士の偶発的なコミュニケーションを誘発させるよう計画。また、火山灰を再利用した煉瓦タイルや手漉和紙、間伐桧突板など地域特有の素材感溢れる材料に、LEDによる指向性の強い間接照明を施した壁面を連続させることと、全体の照明計画をタスク＆アンビエントにて意識的に空間の陰影の幅を大きくすることで、空間全体をドラマティックかつスムーズに繋げながら、利用者同士の新しいコミュニケーションを誘発する新しい図書館の在り方を目指した。（高須 学）

This is the membership library named “BIZCOLI-BIZCOMMUNICATION LIBRARY-”. It had been organized by a foundation as a business books library and was reborn to target more business person triggered by a relocation to the city center of Fukuoka-shi on Watanabe-dori. The visitors have different purposes such as inspection of documents, self-development, and exchange of information. Therefore I divided the space vaguely with certain themes, the communicating space and the concentrating space, and joint 2 spaces with a gate of books “the corridor of interigence” so that visitors might have communication accidentally. I adopted local materials; brick-tiles made of volcanic ashes, hand-made Japanese papers, and Japanese cypress come from forest thinning. The walls decorated with indirect LED lighting with a strong directional characteristics and “task&ambient” lighting plan making a contrast of the space wider connect the whole space dramatically and smoothly. My goal was to create a new style library which provokes a new communication of users. (Gaku Takasu)
