「TOYO KITCHEN STYLE 名古屋」/TOYO KITCHEN STYLE NAGOYA

TOYO KITCHEN & Living本社のファサードは、キッチンを製作する過程で出たステンレスの端材を再利用しています。ステンレスは、TOYO KITCHEN STYLEというブランドを象徴するマテリアルです。そして端材を使うことでサスティナブルなメッセージも込められています。通常、リサイクルをして使われる材料や商品は原型を留めていない場合が多く見受けられますが、このファサードでは端材を使いながらも、普遍的な美しさを兼ね備えたものにしたいと考えました。ファサードのボトムラインには間接光を設けており、職人の手仕事によって施されたさまざまな形の端材パネルに光を当て、幾重にも重なり、今までの技術や記憶、温かみが感じられます。エントランスまわりの壁面には美しいモザイクタイルが貼られ、床には温かみのあるウッドデッキが敷き詰められています。このウッドデッキは大きく開放されたテラスで、誰もが気軽に利用することができます。この新しく生まれ変わるTOYO KITCHEN & Livingは人と人を繋ぐ豊かな環境づくりを目指しています。（橋本夕紀夫）

Facade of Toyo Kitchen & Living’s HQ is made from the reused stainless cutoffs from the material’s they used to make kitchen units. The material named “TOYO KITCHEN STYLE” symbolizes the brand. Usually, when the materials are reused, in many cases, they no longer have the original shape. We wanted to keep universal beauty in it by using the cutoffs. There’s indirect lighting in the bottom line of the facade, which lights up various shaped panels made by craftsmen, gives you the image of technology, memories and warmth. Beautiful mosaic tiles were placed on the walls around the entrance, and warm wood deck panels are placed on the floors. This wood deck is open-aired terrace everyone can use. This newly born TOYO Kitchen & Living is aiming to create the environments where people can connected to each other. (Yukio Hashimoto)
